Sidney Gaskins was born in Ravenna, Ohio and reared in Kent, Ohio. She played sports and found solace in being one of the best at sports. Thought she was often the most quiet among her friends, she always enjoyed being around people. In her early years she could be found reading books to and playing teacher with her dolls and stuffed animals. Sidney became the person that her friends called when there were difficult situations to sort through. And she remains that person to this day.

After the death of her mother, from lung cancer in 2002 and becoming the adoptive parent of a 3 year old boy in the same year. She knew it was truly time to step out, redefine who she was being, and move her life to the next level. With her son, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia and began building an enterprising life. "I get to say what my life looks like!" is the attitude of this dynamic life builder. She is the founder of Enterprising Life located in Atlanta, Georgia. Sidney began looking into coaching as a career after working in the field of social services. While in the social services field there were many clients that needed one-on-one attention that the job did not afford time to give. Her passion for helping people have the great life the way they see it led her to look for something that would allow her to live her dream of helping people to break chains in their lives to live the life they love.

Sidney is a graduate of Kent State University with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Urban Studies. A family love of sports afforded her the opportunity to play volleyball in college, a sport which she continues to love. She is a member of International Association of Coaches, Relationship Coaching Institute, a certified Grief Recovery® Specialist, and trained in Pre-Marital and Marital counseling.

Enterprising Life is an outgrowth of her love of friends, family, and business. The heart of Enterprising Life is building the person and empowering them to have relationships that work throughout life. In an interview she states, "It is through knowing who you are to the core that you can go through life with purpose and focus. When you meet someone who is unsure about their road in Life they are usually unsure about who they are and have yet to create their own purpose. When you have that all together your destiny will come to you. You will attract all that lines up with who you are and what you want.”

Her passion for helping others has moved her to write Hungry for Destiny, Unleash Your Destiny, and she is currently working on the rest of the Unleash series. As a single, adoptive parent she is keenly aware of the things that look like great obstacles for Single mothers and is ready to tackle them. She speaks on the topics of relationship & family building, developing children with focus and confidence, and business, her relationship seminar Unleash the Love™ delves into developing a basic relationship with yourself then with the person you want or have in your life. Hungry for Destiny and Unleash the Power are other workshops she enjoys facilitating. Beginning in the Fall you can catch her on her Internet talk show The Pulse.

Sidney Gaskins can be called a Life Builder with a smile that lights up a room, an ability to talk straight, engage each person whether one-on-one or in a crowd, and still be compassionate puts her in a class of her own. Her insightfulness has helped many move their life forward to create the life they love while she lives the life she loves.
